Katherine Spellmon, soprano, grew up around the United States and Germany as a military child. 

Spellmon received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Southern Methodist University. 

In the 2025-2026 Season, Katherine joined the Dallas Philharmonic Choir as the soprano soloist in Schubert’s Mass in G Major. She also sang as a chorus member in Sarah Brightman’s Winter Symphony concert in Dallas. Katherine currently performs as the Prince in The Dallas Opera Education and Outreach Program’s production of The Little Prince.

Past roles include, Little Mary Sunshine in Little Mary Sunshine, Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro, Laeticia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Angelina in Trial by Jury, and Despina in Così fan Tutte.
